PITBULL SPECIFICATIONS
ENGINE
Perkins 4 cylinder, 4 stroke direct injection naturally aspirated, liquid cooled, diesel engine. Latest technology and advanced design provides low fuel consumption, reduced noise, high torque and power output. Two stage, dry type air cleaner with safety element and precleaner.

 · Gross power  77 HP
 · Net power @ 2000 RPM  71 HP
 · Torque @ 1400 RPM  214 lbs/ft

TRANSMISSION
Synchro shuttle transmission, incorporating a torque converter, reversing shuttle and a synchromesh four speed gearbox in one resiliently mounted unit. Direction control is managed through a steering column mounted forward reverse switch.

AXLES
Heavy duty steer drive axles at both front and rear provide four wheel steering, making the machine extremely maneuverable in the tight confines of a mine. Outboard planetary reduction hubs provide maximum torque to all four wheels. Optional axle ratios are available to customize the power and speed to your requirements.
BRAKES
Service brakes

Hydraulically activated, power, oil immersed, multi disc type brakes are located in all four hubs. This provides fade free braking, greatly increasing deceleration and eliminating skid potential
Parking brake
A spring applied, hydraulically released, oil immersed, multi disc brake is built into the transmission and will hold the machine on one in four grad ients.
Emergency braking
In the event of a low pressure signal from the brake accumulators or a low pressure signal from the transmission , emergency braking is provided by directing oil from the brake accumulators directly to all four wheels and by the application of the transmission brake.

STEERING
Full power hydrostatic steering. Permanent 4 wheel steer with 32 deg. Lock, front and rear provides exceptional maneuverability. Flow is metered to steering by an orbital steering valve. In the event of engine failure emergency steering is still available. Flow is directed through a steer alignment valve to double acting cylinders.

HYDRAULICS
Single gear pump driven by the front crankshaft pulley provides hydraulic power through a suction strainer and spin on type filter. This supplies 13.5 gpm to maintain the brake brake accumulator pressures at 11OO psi and 3000 psi of auxillary pressure for any attachments. A pump driven by the front timing gear train supplies steering pressure.
